Air Belgium obtained its flight licence
Mont-Saint-Guibert, 13 March 2018 – Today, Air Belgium, the new Belgian airline company, announces that it has obtained the Air Operator's Certificate (AOC). The first flights will start mid-April and the tickets sale will be available in the coming days.
As it is Obligatory for all the airline companies, the flight licence was granted by the Air Transport Directorate General (DGTA in French), the air transport regulatory and supervisory authority in Belgium. The Air Operator’s Certificate from the DGTA shows the capacity of a company to ensure a safe and responsible air traffic.
About Air Belgium
Air Belgium is a Belgian long-haul regular company, which will ensure direct flights between Belgium and Asia from 16 April 2018. Air Belgium will be endowed with an initial capital of EUR 20 million, divided among the Belgian and European shareholders in majority and the Asian shareholders in minority. The company is headquartered in Mont-Saint-Guibert, Walloon-Brabant (Belgium).
